Into the Life
Joseph Sanford Eury Jr., known as Joe Jr., was born on February 25, 1922, in Norwood, North Carolina to Josephus Sanford Eury and Rosa Agnes Hill. He grew up in Stanly County, where he resided for most of his life. Joe Jr. married Dorothy Irene Sutton, with whom he had several children, including Wayne Nathan Eury, James Eury, Mary Kay Eury, Danny Eury, Gary Eury, Terry Eury, and Tammy Eury.
Joe Jr. worked as a boilerman in the local yarn mill industry. He passed away on June 5, 1976, at the age of 54 and was buried at Cottonville Baptist Church Cemetery in Norwood, North Carolina
