James M. Eury

James M. Eury was born on March 30th, 1850 to Abraham Eury and Nancy Hitchcock in Stanly County, North Carolina. In 1867, he married Sarah Honeycutt. They had 6 children: Amanda Elizabeth Eury (born 1868), William Henderson Eury (born 1873), Eva Helen Eury (born 1882), Josephus Sanford Eury (born 1884), Mary Jane Eury (born 1889), Lela Pearl Eury (born 1890). James' wife died in 1909 due to unknown reasons (Death certificates in NC weren't required until 1913). Through 1910-1920, he lived with two of his daughters. In 1909, James had his foot amputated likely due to complications with diabetes. He died on Friday Decemeber 30th, 1921 due to complications with his foot.
